Information for new purchase

Hi, hey, hello, there!

I have a few questions. I’m going to purchase a new light, and I am considering;
Streamlight Twin Task 3c LED. (Absolutrely NOT the Zenon/led combo! Did that, not impressed.)
Maglight ML 100 3C cell
Propolymer 4AA led
Jetbeam PA40

It doesn’t have to be the brightest, and for emergencies, good battery life is important, but I want something bright, and lighter, more more compact than my 3D Mag Luxeon III DD mod. It is bright, and has a hellacious run time, but it is just too inconvenient to carry. Modes, other than ON-Off, high, and low are not strictly necessary.

I have a Fulton angle-head G.I. flashlight with an led drop-in bulb, and a Dorcy plastic light with another in my car. They do a good job, with range restricted to ~ backyard distances, but again, they are bulky and not the most convenient to carry.

Has anyone had experience with the above lights, and can give me some sort of idea as to quality of build, reliability, etc?
Or, can anyone suggest a reasonable alternative for about the same $$?

Thanx.

I have a PA40. Nice all around AA light. I really liked it alot. Then I bought a NiteCore EA4. Won’t be using the PA40 much anymore. EA4 is smaller, brighter, throws more, tailstands and is less expensive and uses the same 4xAA batteries.

Thanks; I hadn’t even thought about the Nitecore. I will look into it. One other possibility is just get a Mag 3 C-cell body and drop one of the Malkoff or other led bulbs into it. Hmmmm…

But isn’t the reason you’re looking for another light is because the mag is too large?

Me thinks you’re just looking to get another light regardless…lol :wink:

Ah…You guessed it! Although the 3C is somewhat more compact than the 3D Mag. What,s a guy to do? :bigsmile:
