[Interest Check] DTP Copper MCPCB for XHP70, XHP50, XML

Hi All,

This is just to check the interest level for XHP70, XHP50, XML DTP Copper MCPCB (All 20mm).

I have managed to find a supplier who can provide these at reasonable price. I have bought from him before and confirmed that they are copper DTP. Quality looks good, at least on par with Maxtoch (personal opinion). Would like to know if anyone is interested at these prices. If response is good, I will try to get the goods from the supplier and send out to whoever would like to purchase.

Tentative pricing are as follows:

XHP70 (6V) & XHP70 (6/12V) - US$5.00 for pack of 2

XHP50/XML - US$4.50 for pack of 2 (these has one small extra pad which I do not know the purpose for)

XML - US$4.50 for pack of 2

Postage by normal air mail using envelopes would be US$1.50, registered mail with tracking number (Singapore Post) would require additional US$2.00.

I think that there will be some interest: the prices are somewhat lower than the Sinkpad versions.

I hope that Sinkpad does not have copyrights on their XHP70 6/12V board lay-out that is copied here ;-)

Are those Opulent MCPCB m8? cause the desing and the build manner of the PCB looks exacly like opulent XP-XT PCBs that i work with( for years actualy)

I believe that it does look exactly like the Sinkpad stars and I think that would be wrong to do. First of all, the 12V version of the Sinkpad stars are not the best designed in the first place, as they do not have large enough pads to begin with. Secondly, it's blatant stealing of a design. I know over where you are, it makes no difference, but it's still not necessarily right.

Personally, I find the 6V Sinkpad stars to be fine and the price I pay for them is not bad at all.

I'm looking for 26mm XHP 70 DTP stars, the 20mm are already fine and made be a fairly respectable company.

Nah…I am not a dealer and I am not from China as well. I just happen to find a reasonable source and thought I can order extra and pass the savings over to whoever would want them, while covering the cost for doing so (shipping isn’t exactly cheap).

And yes I do agree the 12V XHP70 stars look very much like the Sinkpads. I won’t be surprised if these were made by the same company that was contracted by Sinkpad to manufacture them. But more probably these are clones.

I have no idea honestly. But I guess they would still work as intended.

Interesting does anyone know if they are made in US or China? I know certain brands like Eagletac, Zebralight are keen on their US headquarters and perceived as American companies but in fact they are made in China, and in the case of Zebralight even own by Chinese.

Everything is Made in CHina nowadays m8, there is only 1 led chip factory is EU( working one), Osram moved to China too- and its reasonable-everything can be found there, from base mats to high end ones, low taxes, friendly laws, lotsa workers, tons of engineers, endless resources from Russia and last but not least- lack of syndicates plus enviropment laws

I actually read somewhere that someone wanted to buy Sinkpad because they are made in USA, so I assumed they are made in USA, but I see the answer is on their page actually, I quote:

"We are headquartered in Southern California (USA). All our engineering, sales, warehouse, accounting and customer service are performed here. We recognize LED market is very cost competitive. In order to enable our customer stay competitive in market we have established our manufacturing capability in Asia."
