greetings and salutations fellow humans … nah but serious howdy everyone. guess we can start with my name lol. my name is Ryan but chances are high i wont answer to it. people have been calling me stitch so long irl and on the internet i hardly recognize my own name anymore.
anyways not to drag out the salutations too much and give you a little info on me. im a full time knifemaker, specialize in balisongs but i do other styles from time to time, i live in the usa and ive been in the EDC community as a whole for right around 20 years ish. former olight fan until i saw behind the curtain so to speak and realized “light is light” is a load of crap lol got addicted to HCRI lighting way faster than i care to admit and bought a bunch of hanks lights and a fireflylite. thus the spiraling began lol as it stands currently i do have a favorite emitter and it has absolutely become a situation of “i want this emitter in every single light i can get it in” which i know isnt always possible but ill branch out eventually lol. its the nichia 519a in 5700k but specifically dedomed. why? idk it just makes me happy and my brain releases that chemical we all like lol.
i do tend to say “lol” a lot when i type .. sorry in advance for that force of habit online for as long as i can remember. tried breaking it … cant seem to. there is another thing i need to apoligize in advance for as well. im not gonna blame my former military service for this but i do bring it up because it did NOT help at all in censoring my language. that being said i have a habit of typing exactly how i think and in my head and in person i swear a lot … i will do my best to edit what i say and try not to swear but i do apologize in advance if any thing slips by. my filter doesnt like to engage always in that regard.
last but not least i finally signed up here cause the other fellas on discord told me it was a good idea to sell a light i bought that was just a little too warm for me in the cct. figure ill wait a couple days and check out the server before i go dropping a sales post directly.
i will add this though and im only adding this as i had an interaction recently with someone online on reddit and it didnt end nicely. i try very hard to be as nice to people as possible, but if you come at me with attitude and ego that is what i will give you back in return. i dont claim to be a saint but i do hope that ive come to a place where folks respect each other and dont drag drama and attitude into civilized conversation.
anyways thanks for reading my introduction i hope i didnt put any one off or upset anyone but hoping to see all the cool things posted here and looking forward to being on the server
