Well, I joined this place january last year, I was really glad I discovered this place, lots of lights, batteries and chargers info, paradise on earth so to speak!
However, once I had my light-battery-charger needs covered, the winter season ended, the summer begun with its lengthy days and short, well illuminated nights and thus my need for flashlight fix vanished!
…until autumn that same year that is, and its exactly the same this year, I happen to read these boards occasionally during spring-summer season but dont post much until nights get considerably longer and weather colder!
Thats when I feel the need to buy more lights, more batteries, more chargers, that seems rather logical.
But this autumn might be special for me and my flashlight addiction - Im going to buy all the AA lights I really NEED and WANT!
Somehow I feel that more expensive and in less numbers is actual giving you more value when it comes to good AA powered lights, there isnt such a flood of great NiMh powered lights for relatively low prices unlike with lithium lights which there are plenty of(and some of which Ive already ordered in past weeks)!
Sure, nothing can beat legendary SK68 clones with extension tubes, its a monster of a light!
However, if you want to have real good AA light with good regulation, output and build quality you have to spend considerably more.
I fear of future, what it holds, what if I turn to the bright side completely?! What if I start piling lithium batteries in huge stacks at home and start buying multi emitter multi cell mega thousand lumens lights?!
Can this addiction be reversed?
I fear that it cannot…
