Uh oh. I’m going hunting for a long weekend and I’d usually bring my trusty old TR-801 Q5 and be done with it. For some reason this year I have three lights laid out and enough battery power to keep several XM-L’s running all weekend! :bigsmile:

Ah the trusty TR-801. For all it’s age it still is a remarkable light. I really like the unique pill design on it that keeps the pill screwed in better and provides a better heat path because the pill thread directly into the body vs threading into the head which threads to the body.
Also it’s weird but it is physically smaller than my Fandyfire 2160 yet feels heftier in the hand.
I do the same thing but i take like 6 different lights xml’s, xre’s (green and red), and xpg2’s lol

Only Three. What happens if one packs it in. You will only have two. I'd take at least one more as a backup to the third one. You wont sleep until you pack that fourth one.
Well, I’m planning on bringing my night stand light also, but a AAA hardly counts when the big ones are around. I don’t want to be awake all night worrying about it. 
Then there is that nice tinted MC-E in my tool bag. Maybe I ought to toss that in, you know, just in case!
