Is it worth taking the risk?

Unprotected Rechargeable Ni-MH AA’s.

If you’re not living on the edge, you’re taking up too much space!

IMO, just buy eneloops and not have to worry about replacing them for at least the next 5 or 6 years.

While NiMh are inherently safe, there's something about the branding that makes me want to run far away...

look for eneloop on sale, when you can get the best for cheap, only a fool would throw away his money

is your middle name is dangerous?if so this battery is made just for you >)

None of Ni-Mh cells are protected, and they don’t need to be.

They can take overcharge, reverse polarity, short circuits without blowing up. Note that I said “without blowing up,” as harm will be done to their life span.

But please do avoid the cells you linked to. As everyone said, get some eneloops and work with the best.

I can’t believe some folks took this thread seriously……… …………. I wasn’t considering buying them I was just laughing at the Unprotected listing. The smiley in the OP gave that away, surely?

BTW - Do Protected Ni-MH’s even exist? If so then why???

Hahaha, sorry, I’m now kicking myself for not catching the humor.

It got me too. I wasn’t attentive to that smiley. This could have been an April Fools joke. But it’s not April now. So it’s June Fools joke (sounds ugly). H)

It would be awful if they turned out to be Li-ion in disguise!!

And look at the good for 300 charges… :frowning:

Unprotected NiMH's??

No thanks!!!

;)

I have waited for this thread since I have seen them in new arrivals.

First i thought The price is quite heavy for this garbage, but you have to consider that you get this nice blue battery case on top…

5-pack wiv da case:

http://www.amazon.de/dp/B009M28L94/

4-pack wiv da case:

http://www.amazon.de/dp/B009M28JFK/

i bought a bunch of them as presents and gifts. to accompany my E09 gifts.

I think they are expensive for what they are, I’d pass and just get Eneloops.

The eneloop cases are nice quality too.
