Is the Acebeam x45 a 2s2p config or 4s?

Just curious on the battery configuration for the Acebeam X45. Is it 2S2P or 4S? Are the batteries normally shipped with this light protected or non protected? Also what’s the difference between Version 1 and version 2? Just brightness?

Never mind, Doing some digging seems to indicate it is 4S. Working Voltage 12V-16.8V.

Not too crazy about lights running unprotected cells in a 4S configuration.

Especially since using 4s configuration only allows capacity of 1 18650.

That, and the risk of cell unbalancing becomes higher I’d think.

I can deal with 2s and 2s2p unprotected configurations, but not a 4s. My K40M is a 3S config but I use protected cells for that.

Use 4 high drain protected then. Keeppower 3120 should work?

You still get the same Wh out of a battery pack, no matter the cell configuration.
