Red SRM 605?? or Green SRM 604 ???
I prefer knives with a longer handle (I can work better with this) - under 8cm is to short for me.
Red or green? The 604 is only available in green, red is the 605. The difference between both knives is the blade form, too. 604 is a tanto blade, 605, drop point blade
Here is a small review about both knives:
i have the 605 and like it alot. the choil makes it fit very well in hand. i recommend it if you want something light weight and less intimidating. i’d go red as tanto’s aren’t as useful for me.

I totally agree on that. I don’t have the 604, only the 605, but i’ve used srm tanto blades. Unless you specifically look for tanto capabilities on scrapping or piercing, i’d go for the 605 (i find the blade better for general purposes). And yep, the choil makes the ergonomics damn good for a knife this size.
I have the 605/red one. It’s very small but I find it is the one I carry most out of my few knives because of that fact. I can have it in my pocket and forget it’s there.
Tanto I think is generally good for slashing and breaking the surface easily for a good piercing slice. Personally I don’t think that is necessary in a knife this small as no one will be using it for tasks like those (self defense etc.)
I think the 604 & 605 are a little on the small side, but very cool knives all the same. Be advised that the 604 (tanto) is sharpened only on one side.
I have the red one. It is quite small, but as mentioned above, it fits nice in the hand. It is light and built well, and it stays permanently in my winter coat. I recommend!
Just depends on what it needs to do ..

I’m sorry to resume such an old thread, but…
Want to buy Sanrenmu 604, the green one (still have the 605 on my pocket too) for my collection but I saw there is another version too, with red handle like the 605, this one: Sanrenmu 6044LTC-GL 7,14$
They have the same blade lenght: 57mm; but not the same depth, it’s 10mm for the “old” green version instead of 11.4mm for the “new” red handle version.
Anybody here have this new version to compare with the old?
I’ve to buy others knives in the same order, so want to buy just one version. Thank you so much.
I have only the 605, but i think the knife of your link and the srm 604 are the same except on the color of the handle that it is the same of the srm 605.
So the srm 605 comes in two handle colors, nothing more. It is what i think.

Because the price is not the same…So, why pay more just for a simply red handle??
If the color is the only difference between, I’ll buy the “old” green version.
To make more money of course They have so many color or designs in each of their models now. For the person who loved the original SRM710; you can now collect the whole line of 7010 series. Or the 763 now has the 7063 series in various colors. I think it’s great! Although I agree it’s kind of a money grab if they sell the same item with just a change in color — but the price difference may just be the difference between their old stock (prices) and what the new version is now currently (maybe it costs more to make it now).

I just got a 7010 in for review and I like it much better than I thought I would. It has a strong frame lock but it’s not bulky or heavy.
The 704 is also cheap and fantastic, and several of my friends and family carry them because they are simple and solid.
Hard to go wrong with a GB-763 (G10) or LB-763 (Al) either, though they seem to randomly be impossible to find.
Finally I’ve ordered the green version!
