Is there is any Power bank at FT that can provide real 2A charging to devices ?

hello

I want to buy a Power bank that can provide real 2A charging to devices from fasttech just because i am making an order from them

so any one tried something from there ?

I have found this TOMO V8-4 but some reviews says it cant reach the claimed 2A charging this review

I would really appreciate any help.

Check these here, HKJ does some AWESOME reviews and stress tests

My Qidian from FT does 2A output.

Its just annoying how u need a screwdriver to take out the cells.

There is Coolook PB-2000 which has been approved by HKJ in his review. The battery cover slides off when you want to change batteries.
I bought mine together with 4 Panasonic 3400 mAh batteries.
I have to say that I haven`t used it yet, but I like to keep quality stuff around for when the time comes

Xiaomis are great too !

i like this one but do you select the volt every time you charge a device or it does that auto ? i am asking this because i am buying it for non professional people i don’t want them to fry their phones

It has memory so it uses the last voltage used. It also disconnects the USB ports after 5.5v even while connected. So its completely safe. I leant it to my sister for a couple of weeks and she was fine with it, she just prefers the auto on of her xiaomi but I find the xiaomi takes longer to charge.

That’s my review. I just updated the output numbers to reflect results with newer/better equipment. It delivers ~1.9A and maintains 4.8V with a 10 Ohm load. It can actually push 2.5A through both ports, for a little while, but then it seems to trigger a thermal overload in the boost converter and cuts power until it cools down.

I’m not sure how well it does signaling its output capabilities to iOS devices on its own. I can’t really judge by current drawn because the USB meters seem to interfere with the signaling. I’ll try working it out by checking the resistances between the various pins.

Its also worth noting, that they may have done a rev on the PCB and components. I saw a photo of the board recently on TaoBao or ebay or something it it looked like the MCU was in a different type of package, and if they are going to change that, they might change other things too.

Funny thing I was looking into that Tomo last week and read your review too but I can’t find anything better than that.

I have a question, I have a couple of ML-102 but it looks that one cell is not good enough to keep charging my kid’s Kinlde Fire for more than 15 minutes. Do you guys think this one might work since it has 4 cells?

Thanks in advance.

What happens with you ML-102 after 15 minutes?

I have two v7.1 and both start pulsing the output at 15 Hz or so when cell voltage under load drops to 3.5. Another member reported similar issues with 2 out of three of his. Sounds like a QA problem.

The light of the charger goes out and stops charging so i drop another cell but it happens the same thing. I have two ml-102, one with mini and the other with micro usb and do the same thing.

Anyone? Is the Tomo a good charger for the kindle fire?

I wonder if it is a different manifestation of the same problem I see. Can you hook up a multimeter to monitor cell voltage when it is discharging and see the voltage just before it cuts out?

I don’t know one way or another, but I did some further testing and found that my example uses Apple’s scheme to signal devices can draw up to 2A. I don’t know how a Kindle Fire will behave, but I expect it would behave similarly to how it would when hooked to an iPad wall adapter.
