Here and here <-- I just bought that but I am wondering if it was a good idea or not.
I was just doing some reading after searching google and I read people saying you need to break them (eneloops) in and not charge them too fast, also it said you need one with discharge and refresh etc. And that quick chargers heat them up too much and damage them.
Is that right or just a excuse for them to justify spending $50-100 on a charger?
It will probably charge fast with only one battery, and slower if you want to charge more batteries together. A fast charger will heat up the batteries, and that is not good.
I have tried to order that one some time ago, but when there was no change in the order status after more than one month, i cancelled the order and got my money back from DX. So i don't know if it works as it should work...
I use the Maha MH-C9000 for AA and AAA Nimh batteries.
It’ll work but probably shorten the life of the cells.
I have a Duracell 15min charger (charges AA’s at 8 amps) that I got long before I knew about all of this flashlight stuff, it came with what I now realise are Duraloops(Duracell branded Eneloops). Those batteries still work though I haven’t tested their capacity, but trying to charge any lesser battery in that charger renders the cells almost useless after only a few charges, the Duraloops however still do work. So charging Eneloops at 2A will probably not bring that much harm to the cells unless you charge them a lot.
