That’s why if you are going to go in, it would be foolish to use anything but paypal or credit card. There’s also the possibility that if you go in EARLY enough, you will be part of the bait and get a light for practically nothing . All that said, I agree with you, very likely to be a scam. And I’m not one who likes cc dispute, even in a case like this, that I likely would win easily.
Yes… If it is too good to be true, it probably isn’t true…
But I should be covered by PayPal and the AE refund policy. Plus it is “only” ~$38.
So, we will see. If I get it (and it is the advertised product) it is a steal. If not, I am sure I can get a refund.
We will see…
BTW, I got a shipping notice from AE. Nothing shows up yet on any of the tracking sites when I use the number they gave. But at least it may be something positive.
True - the bottom line. The site is a combination of laughable red flags (low cost and the 2 reviews I mentioned are gone), OTOH mixed with possibly believable numbers of items sold on several items that I don’t think they could fake. Plus not sending item is such a quick denial for vendors that you kinda think why they want to use this simplistic method. We are going to learn something from this lol. Thanks for taking the hit.
Have you had good experience w/ Aliexpress refund?
I took a chance initially, and then tried to cancel it. The cancellation failed and now it is supposedly shipped. It hasn’t started moving though. If by some crazy miracle, it arrives, I will likely use batteries that I don’t much care about, and turn it on with a stick outside.
I am interested in seeing what happends. I says it includes batteries. When I got mine (from a different seller from aliexpress), it came with HaikeLite branded batteries. I assume they are 40T’s, but they work well anyways.
Well the listing is down and the store only has 1 item up now so it doesn’t look good. Worst case I get it and it blows up. More than likely I just won’t get it. I’ll probably manage to get the $38 back if there’s a problem. But if not I’ll survive.
Well, that’s concerning…
I have the same situation. It shows shipped, but the tracking number for Correos Europe doesn’t show up on their site.
It has only been two days, so maybe there is still hope… But I kind of doubt it.
EDIT… The link above for the $40 light is still active for me as of 5 minutes ago… It says 32 sold and over 900 available…
But it also says no longer available. SIGH
You may find AliExpress steps in and gives you a refund without you requesting anything. I’ve had that happen with something about the behaviour of the seller being the reason? That item had already been marked as freighted too- nothing ever arrived.
Either way, they’re usually good with refunds when problems arise. I wouldn’t be concerned about losing your money. But you may end up with a cheap copy that’s next to useless!
Or like with the E-Bike… I got a set of cheap handle bar grips… maybe this time an empty 18650 battery box…
If something shows up I plan to record the unboxing.
That reminds me of the time I ordered a Twinkly Flex off Amazon Australia ( Flex ). The price was quite good but it was from a third party seller.
What arrived was a cheap RGB LED strip controlled by a dodgy mobile app. I immediately contacted the seller and his response was he couldn’t afford to sell the Twinkly Flex at that price- so sent the RGB strip instead. I couldn’t believe it! So then I had to return the cheap RGB LED set for a refund- and that was going to cost me more than the cheap strip he sent was worth.
In the end I got the refund without having to return the cheap LED strip, but what an idiot. As if that was ever going to work out. Suitable reviews were left on Amazon.
Anyone received it yet? Mine still in transit.
Try to track by this website:
I opened a ticket with Alix last week and managed to get refunded. I’m not sure if something will be showing up. The vendor declined the refund and threatened to pull the package but Alix did it anyway.
Strangely, 1Lumen’s graphs show regulation, but my turbo graph shows zero regulation. Two different runtime curves which is very odd.

Colorado, express shipment arrives at processing center [US]
So maybe I will get a package. It will be interesting to see what is in the package though…
