Hi guys,
I haven’t really been in the flashlight scene lately (I guess it comes when it’s winter because that’s the best time to go outside), and have just found a TN31 NW for $145 @ HKEquipment and I am looking for a well built, thrower which works well in real life usage; I’ve already got a lot of cheap ones to keep me satisfied.
My BTU Shocker has been great, but it doesn’t have a great throw:output ratio which means when it’s cold, raining and foggy it just has too much output compared to throw and the glare kills my night vision. It really is great, but in some scenarios (mainly midnight fishing) I would much rather have something which is easy on the eyes, yet still penetrates the darkness. The CW on the Shocker is astoundingly harsh given it has 28 hundred lumens of it. Even though it has a nice 135kcd number, I’m pretty sure I’m not seeing all of it due to glare .
Just wondering, before I buy this, is there anything out there that can beat the TN31 and is NW, OR is the same and cheaper?
I just want to run it by the good ol’ BLF crew before I make the leap.
Thanks
