ISO 10440/14500 protected cells + Cheap Smart Charger

As title says

In Search Of 10440/14500 protected cells + Cheap Smart Charger preferably from fast tech.
If a charger would do both 10440/14500 cells, the better!

I actually prefer paying more for good quality, branded protected 10440/14500 cells. I would start researching on this topic and want your help guys

Last time it all worked out perfectly with 2x18650 and a cheap smart charger.

Thanks!

Its hard to find chargers that appropriate for 10440. They should be charged at 350mA or less. Otherwise you’ll be reducing their life & capacity. I charge my efest imr 10440 at 250mA.
A TP4056 CC/CV charger board can do any current you want by changing the resistor. Only $1.50. Hard to beat that.

Not a lot choices for 10440s. Efest imr 10440 “(test / review)”:Test / Review: Efest IMR10440 V1 350mAh (Black) might be the best unless you want protection for low voltage cutoff.

You should mod a few and sell them.

For a light running on 10440 you might have a problem with heat, most 10440 lights are so small they don’t have much of a place for heat to go.

For 10440 and 14500 I use Xtar XP1 http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10002304/1450102-xtar-xp1-single-channel-lithium-ni-mh-ni-cd

you can choose 0.25A(ok for 10440) or 0.5A (for 14500/16340/18350), also charges NiMH.

Did I miss something kreis?

Thanks guys. Checking it out.

Has anyone ever seen Kreisler and Dinoboy together?

Sure, personally in Bielefeld

I was at the 2009 flashlight symposium of the electrical engineering students . Let me check, I might even have some pictures edit: yep, Kreisl in red shirt, and dinoboy wearing his new hat

I like this little charger. Just as long as you don't mind charging one at a time. Also available here:

Catching up — is the Xtar XP1 still the best for protected 10440s? Discontinued at FT, still available at the other link mentioned above.

The bare board is also still available on eBay — but

Pointer to what resistor to change, and what to change it to?

Or what’s newer and better info? Looking for my first protected 10440s; know about li-ion generally and use larger ones, but I don’t have a charger unless the old “Nano” single cell 123 charger can be adapted with clips and a battery holder. I don’t know if the “Nano” is documented anywhere, I got those years ago
