Issues and more flood in S70

Hi guys I need some help here to fix some issues of my S70 and an improvement (if possible)

The issues are faulty tail switch, they lose contact some times and I need to switch on/off to try that keeping working :weary:

So, I need some switch replacements, I even try to disasemble and apply more tension in springs and it helps alot, but its not 100%, where I can find that? The switch of L6 fits in S70?

Another “issue” is the constant dimming with drop voltage, its possible compensate it? And about turbo/high mode timer, its possible to block that? :innocent:

And for improvement, I did walk with this light in a road without any ilumination, the cars dont able to pass in that, some stones blocked some sections and I did must to go 3km…. The one word I can tell about that experience is “suffocating”, the spill is powelfull but narrow, when I walked with TR-3T6 the spill almost touches my foots and that gave me more security, I dont need to move so much to covers my sides :confounded:

So, its possible to replace the reflector without mod the led or the body of the light?

Thanks :+1:

Those are a lot of questions

OK where did you buy it? That tail switch is not normal
You could contact BLF user Thorfire to get them to shop ypu the parts.

I tested the dimming for you and the L6 is about the same but leaves you with less light as cells drain.
Only a fully regulated light will keep up the brightness at a same level.

The beam of the S70 is kind of floody as it is, if any other reflectors will narrow it.

I am testing the Olight R50 seeker
This little thing has a very broad beam with lots of flood and stays at the same level of brightness but it is double the price of a S70/L6.
Also I bought a sunwayman C22C second hand and solely because it has a secondary NW led to light where one walks. Again not a cheap light.
(A Convoy S2+ with tir is a nice EDC for close lighting and with a clip easy to tag along.)

And lastly have you tried tuning down your light while in use?
The eyes adapt to less light so I find it useful to lower the brightness as the eyes take over, reducing the drain of cells and giving more options to bump up with every staircase down the brightness stairs.

Hi Miller, I bought in bangood, I think the problem of switch is my fault when I bypass the springs, I’ll contact the user for that

So, the question of dimming dont have a solution, right? And about the timer? I very apreciate your test, Miller :+1:

The reflector stock is the more floodier, dont have any choice? And about that cutter, the same pattern?

The question of dimm is not annoying me anymore, but the timer is very annoying :rage:

The beam pattern is almost perfect, if have more spill it will be great, for long range the spill is very usefull and strong, I remember the day when my friend trying to trolling me take the lamps of headlights of my car, I turn on the S70 and light entire road…… Their rearviews too
