I have had the reverse problem?
I got several 1405’s on the GB a ways back, plus a couple for customers… I had to use the LONGEST protected 26650s I could, and I STILL ended up brazing a blob of solder onto the brass butt contact with a small TORCH.
yet, I vaguely remember pre-order discussions? people wanted to make sure all their batteries “fit”. kinda silly to go thru a spring bypass to avoid unnecessary resistence? than I do things like use a neodymium magnet to eat up the “slop” because I don’t have XXL length batteries, only XL batteries, lol…
and if you approach the people that manufacture the Uber-commando light?? they are just going to say “this is why we always recommend using THIS battery, purchased from our pro shop… LMAO
and after pricing the LIGHT?? I hardly wanna know the markup on yer special length batteries, you know?
