It's that time again... Group Buy time... this time, it's the Thrunite T10T. *Update- Minimum of 10 pieces now*

please PM the price for the NW. I might take one if I like the price. Thanks for efforts in organising this GB

I gave it a try with a 14500 cell and it did work OK. I couldn’t tell if it was much brighter, so I just put the Eneloop back in.

Hi Toykeeper,

On the regular T10, the stainless bezel looks like it should come off from the aluminum head. I am tempted to try to swap it with a Nichia 219. I don’t have a 219 so I wonder how it compares to the Spark SF5NW that I have. That one is quite nice.

NLE

I’m in for a T10T NW.

Thanks for putting this together, NLE and hkequipment!

PM sent

how many are missing today?

In for 1. NW

One T10TNW for me.

I’m the ” 8) “!!!

Antiparanoico, I changed the 8) back into the just for you! :)

Now that there are 8 people on this list, I figured this thread deserved a "More than halfway there" bump.

If anybody is on the fence, someone just uploaded a "torture test" video a few days ago. Not really as brutal as other torture tests, but it looks very durable for anything one might encounter with edc use.

I think that’s the video where I heard the T10T threads actually turn smoother than the T10S threads. … which is really weird, since titanium almost always feels gritty and makes threads hard to turn.

The actual tests in the video aren’t really all that impressive. Nearly everything is waterproof these days, and running gently over a narrow light with a car (especially if the suspension is soft) doesn’t really put all that much pressure on it. The drop tests were okay, but carpet is usually not going to break anything. It would be really impressive if he dropped it that far onto stone and it still worked. I highly doubt this light can take much of a drop if it lands on its head on a hard surface though, since there’s no spring on the driver.

In any case, it looks like a nice EDC and I’m looking forward to getting one.

Agreed. I expected the tests to be a lot more... torturous. After seeing lights like the Rayovac Indestructible used as hammers and beat on, the tests in the video seemed mild. In any case, it seems like it'll handle anything I might throw at it.

I liked my T10S enough to jump on the T10T. Especially when I saw that they came out with a NW version. The T10S seems really rugged and which is good because with no knurling, it’s already my most dropped flashlight. It’s seen half a dozen spills onto tile and concrete. But I’m not too concerned about torture tests because I will almost always have a backup, and a backup to that backup, and so on

i found the Grave Test rather cruel. that was tough torturing!! poor little bastard

In the grave test, I thought he’d at least jump on it or something, after burying it.

Thanks for putting this together NLE. I’m still thinking about whether I really want another Ti light.

Its my pleasure Woody. I like participating in the group buys other people have organized so I wanted to help contribute by organizing one myself.
I don’t have any titanium lights but I already have a T10 so I’m on the fence too.

bump

come on, the uptake is a bit slow for this one, i just want a group buy im participating in to work, as the others have fell apart :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m surprised there aren’t more people interested. As far as I can tell, it’s the best price ever on a nice titanium EDC light. Inexpensive titanium EDC light! Hello? How are there only 8 people signed up?

It looks like the T10T may actually be more durable than the D25A Ti, with a nice metal button instead of rubber, and without all that nonsense about twisting it a bunch to change between three mode groups. And it costs significantly less and is easier to get.

At this rate, the one I ordered (the day before the group buy started, d’oh) will be here by the time we actually send the GB order. Maybe I can post a review to spur more interest.

It seems like the light has a nice design, but maybe everyone who would have signed up already got a T10S? I’m not sure. I probably would have, if the T10S wasn’t totally sold out everywhere.

I would definitely change a few things about it to improve it (smaller body, add a ~3lm mode, get rid of mode memory, add a Nichia 219 option), but it still looks like it’s probably one of the best three or four EDC lights available.

Can I to inform about this group buy in forlinternas?
