Im looking for a torch with aux leds, ive got a few fw3a and i know lexel does the boards for them with aux leds
but id like it do be like the emisar d4v2 so i can change the colour of the leds when i want etc via the software, click ,change click change or whatever
i dont really want to take my fw3 apart and install lexels boards as im not super great with tiny wires to the mcu and i cant reflash
so on a bit of a budget also, flashcables, lexel board and my shitty eyes and hands will cost more then a torch proberly
ive been looking at emisar d4v2 but its a fatty and ive got a bucket load of 18650s
also i kind of love the way the fw3a is sizewise form factory etc
what can you sugest!
id pretty much love my nichia fw3a . and would love it with aux leds,but my confidence isnt great !
The new Noctigon KR4 is pretty similar in style to the FW3A but with a better driver and aux LEDs, but I think it’s a little bit larger. It’s a quad like the D4v2.
D4v2 is not a fatty, is it actually having some mass to it without being big and can sustain a bit of Turbo, yeah I know some people want ultra-light and ultra-thin bodies, but those will not really take turbo that well. Other than that of course, no one says someone has to necessary use 100% Turbo, that is why a flashlight can always be used at 50%.
As for changing the colors on a whim each day, I have never changed colors on a whim actually, chose red since that is what I prefer and left it like that. Initially I thought I might do that, but didn’t actually do it.
I’m lucky. I don’t suffer from TAS at all. I mean no matter how big my collection is there are sooo many torches I don’t have but wish I did…. Kudos to ME
