IYP365 UV?

Anybody have experience with this? The Nichia 219 versions I have are top notch, and I wanted something simple and reasonable for basic uses- I don’t need an 18650 powerhouse. Mostly looking to test UV enhancers in laundry detergents and DWR finishes, actually. Don’t suppose anybody knows a source of a 365nm filter lens for it?

The Luminus SST-10 has a lot more visible light than the Nichia. It still works great for curing Norland and the like, but there is a significant amount of visible light mixed with the UV. If you had a Woods filter on the light, it would be a non-issue.

For some reason Lumintop doesn’t use a filter on the UV IYP365, but they do use a filter on the UV Tool AA. Both were on sale at one time and I chose the Tool because of the filter.

If you like the 2xAAA format, I can recommend the Wuben E19UV. I’ve owned one for over a year and am very pleased.

It performs as well as my LG and Nichia UV lights and includes a Wood’s glass filter. I don’t think anyone has identified which UV emitter it uses, but I believe the 365nm rating. Here are a couple photos I took of the emitter:

It has two well-spaced output modes and a reverse-clicky switch with a hard plastic boot.

The Wuben E19UV is about $25 on Amazon and there’s currently a 10% off clickable coupon.
