JAX Z1 switch current max?

Short version……
Will the switch that comes in the Jax Z1 handle a MT-G2 @ around 10A?

If not, can anyone recommend a “drop-in ” switch that will?

Thanks,
Jim

It should, for a while. I had a DD MT-G2 build in a Z1 that I sold that pulled around 7-8 amps, and replaced the stock switch after testing it, with the 6A Ebay switch tested here on BLF. It’s a bit bigger than the stock switch though, so it pushes the button out a bit and may make it not tailstand anymore.

If you use the stock switch use a jumper wire or braid and make sure the solder joints are good to reduce the power dropped in the switch to a minimum to give it the best chance possible to survive.
