A High performance Tactical style flashlight from JETBeam, the IIIM Ultra has been released by the company. This updates their extensive range of flashlights with their triple tail switch, for rapid and easy operation. Giving instant access to Strobe, Turbo and SOS modes via the dual paddle switch. This patented design is durable and provides excellent tactile feedback, and in combination with the U shape tail, and central switch (for On/Off and a Momentary mode) – all the controls you need for the flashlight are in easy reach, and ideal for one handed operation.
The CREE XHP35 HD give a high maximum output of a blistering 2000 lumens, and a range of 270 metres. There are 4 power levels, with a long run time of 26 hours at the lowest level of 40 lumens.
Using a high capacity 18650 battery (3500mAh), the IIIM Ultra has a modest size of 142mm x 35.3mm x 26.4mm (5.59” x 1.38” x 1.03”), and a weight of 120g no battery (4.23oz). The design has an attractive angular look, with a black stainless steel bezel, and clip, with a high quality HAIII anodized finish on the aero grade aluminum to resist marks and damage. A type C charging port is on the flashlight, a Red LED battery indicator, and it can also be used as a power bank with the included dual design USB cable which is included.

The IIIM Ultra has a range of 4 power levels, the top Turbo mode hits an impressive 2000 lumens with a mixed beam pattern, this gives a good range and spread making it ideal for many uses. Turbo reaches 270 metres, with a high level output of 950 lumens, a medium of 250 lumens and the lowest level is 40 lumens making it suitable for closer subjects or when battery conservation is important.
The 2 Strobe modes are also 950 lumens output a standard strobe for self defense, and an SOS for emergency signalling
Triple Tail Switch Design for Fast and Simple operation
Any tactical style flashlight needs a control layout that is both fast and intuitive. JETBeams latest patented triple switch design features a classic U shape tail, making it easy to located even in darkness. A single central switch turns the flashlight On or Off (with a half press for Momentary), the 2 paddle switches provide access for either side (both paddle switches are a single switch). This lets you quickly access Turbo, Strobe, or SOS modes. A memory function is also present to remember the last power level set.
Single handed operation is a key design for this JETBeam flashlight.
Another useful feature on the JETBeam is the ability to use the flashlight as a power bank
With an output up to 2.4A, it can quickly charge many devices such as a phone quickly. Also included is a dual type charging cable, this features a type A output port in addition to the usual connectors. Allowing you to attach any type A cable to the flashlight to charge it. Of course you can also use type C devices is you wish.
A battery status indicator is on the side near the charging port, not only does this inform you when it is charged (Red is charging turning to Green when completed). When the IIIM Ultra is Off, a quick press on either paddle switch, will flash 1-4 times giving you a visual 4 stage feedback on the level of charge left with a critical level when the red LED is flashing. Charging is also fast, with an input rating up to 1.8A
As expected the usual high quality finish is present here, with the gunmetal grey finish a welcome change to the more usual black, it has high grade aluminum alloy, with type HAIII hard anodizing, as well as a toughened ultra clear mineral glass covering the LED and reflector. IPX8 rating for 2 metres water submersion, it is also impact/drop tested to 1 metre.
