I’m considering getting a Jetbeam RRT2 with the Luminus SST-70 LED and 21700 battery. I’m not bothered about the turbo mode. They claim a high mode at 800 lumens for 4.7 hours.
Is that high mode realistic i.e. is it likely to maintain 800 lumens for at least a few hours? I’ve seen a review of an early 18650 version, without the rotary ring, which has a very poor regulation.
Unfortunately he does not give the test battery capacity.
The RRT21 - a similar light - is not regulated:
An alternative is the Sunwayman V20C which maintains a perfectly regulated 450 lumens for a few hours on a good 18650 cell.
