To: All JETBeam consumers

Dear JETBeam consumers,

Firstly, we thank you for all of your support for JETBeam.

As we officially informed before, since SYSMAX has gravely violated the agency rules by 1) misleading dealers & consumers and confusing the ownership of JETBeam; 2) registering JETBeam trademark in EU and Australia purposely; 3) intentionally restraining the order quantity of JETBeam and raising prices for high profit; 4) falsely claiming JETBeam stockout while promoting and selling their own brand instead; 5) big overdue payment to Shenzhen Jetbeam, as JETBeam brand owner, designer and manufacturer, Shenzhen Jetbeam Electronic Technology CO., Ltd officially announce from 5 Aug, 2012, SYSMAX will not be the agent for JETBeam and we will manage JETBeam directly including R&D, manufacture, marketing, sales and warranty.

For the warranty, more details are as below:

1. After JETBeam company directly sell Jetbeam products, Jetbeam will provide easier, more reliable and speedy after-sale service directly to distributors instead of via SYSMAX;

2. Dealers will be responsible for end users. End users should contact the dealers or distributors from whom they bought JETBeam lights for warranty support with Warranty Card and either a trade invoice, receipt or the trade number provided by the internet retailers. Jetbeam will provide our authorized distributors with the technology and parts to service our lights.

3. To improve our service quality and speed, we will offer some spare parts to distributors for usual service use.

Good news I think.

“JETBeam Australia” usually sells things for double of what you can buy the same item for from China or Hong Kong.

Also cutting out the middle man should help to lower prices.

Interesting. I’ve been told different. Cut and paste from other thread:

This is what I’ve been told from SYSMAX/Nitecore:

I can confirm from SYSMAX/Nitecore that the brand JETBeam will be put on hold from now.
SYSMAX is the designers behind the brand JETBeam. These designs were produced by a factory, that after a period of producing JETBEams designs started their own brand, Niteye. This factory also registred the trademark JETBeam in USA and mainland China, something that SYSMAX somehow hadn’t done. So SYSMAX got problems producing JETBeam lights because the production facility was producing Niteye lights at full capacity. And after they lost the trademark rights in USA and China they decided to put JETBeam on hold.

Interesting whichever way this does turn out. My precise timing, smooth almost like a kick in the mouth…
Sysmax/Jetbeam/Nitecore…whomever was the recipient of 1 M-series warrenty repair.Package was lost. The 3 companies responded via some very nice women that work at one of the above. Short version. I got stuck with a bill for a replacement , after providing ample undeniable proof i did infact ship 1 M Series Jetbeam unit…Turns out HK post lost it. Perhaps they will change there policy in regards to shipping warranty repairs and partnering with there US counterparts.
The last phrase perhaps now impossible, shipping a package of damaged goods to HK
stinks , at best…

Darkside which company did you send the light to?

Which is the real Jetbeam?

Here is a link to a german forum with some info about the subject:

Cutting out the middle man may not be a good thing. Distributors do a lot of work that manufacturers don’t want to mess with. Sometimes the manufacture doesn’t get it right and things get mucked up and end up costing more. Jet beam is a good product and i’m not sure how sysmax fits in the picture overall, but it sure seems like a drastic move over a lousy distrubutor.

Does anyone have a CPF membership? I’m curious what the Niteye representative have to say about SYSMAX claims shown here and on the German forum.

How does Klarus fit into that picture? The Klarus P1A is almost a twin of the Jetbeam BA10 and the P2A is very similar to the BA20.

So to get this clear, if I need warranty service I should send it somewhere in the middle of the South China Sea, midway between the two claimants of ownership?

Nevermind.

SYSMAX/Nitecore claims they will handle the warranty, and replace faulty lights with equal products from Nitecore. If I understood the German forum correctly.

And now, surprise, surprise, the CPF thread has disappeared.

Here the google cache is.

This one will be interesting, I know I really like my BC40, great light even though I don’t use it that much. Hopefully however it works out Jetbeam will still be around making good products.

Thanks Scaru, but it only has 3 posts - misses all the juicy stuff. What’s the big deal about keeping an important thread, on a pretty important issue, going? Or rather, why rewrite history, and pretend it hasn’t happened?

Sysmax wouldn’t happen to be paying advertisers, would they?

How dare you insult the moral integrity of ..... oh, you mean CPF... go ahead. ;-)

If what is being posted is not liked by any company that sees it they simply complain to Grunta and she deletes the thread. :) AFAIK, sysmax is not a paying advertiser but CPF would probably do whatever they are told to do by them anyways.

CPF is stuck in an alternate universe based on 1984. :P

Just had a rummage around CPF - Nitecore advertise (ironically, they have a banner ad in the Budget light section). No wonder they are pissed - that Forum gets about 5 posts a week

Ah well.

All I can get from these posts is that both Sysmax and the company who claims to be Jetbeam are throwing mud at each other in various forums now.

I think I will refrain from buying anything from the affected brands until it is clear who is who and who is right.

My CPF post has been “disappeared”!
