Nice lookin light. Screamin for a driver change and some newer emitters though. Would make a great light!

Hate to resurrect an old thread, but has anybody tried retro-fitting one of these with the 3v XHP50.2? No clue how this driver works or if it comes with a DTP board, but seems like that could be a cool mod. Amazing output + a powerbank = lots of real world use IMO

looklike it uses 16mm MCPCB, you can easily find 5050 DTP 16mm MCPCB

the driver must be replaced obviously, something like BLF Q8 driver is a best choice

@mountainair26, it would work, but output wouldn’t go up much with the stock driver.

Thanks for the replies, if you had to speculate, would it still retain power bank function if the driver were changed? or is that separated from the driver electronics? Thanks

Looklike the powerbank circuit is at the tail, and the driver is at the head, so i guess it won’t affect the powerbank function

Oh I thought you wanted to keep the driver.

Then yes, you could just change the driver and keep the functionality.
