Wow!! What a light for $15.68 I really like how you can switch from 5 mode to a 3 mode and the finish on this light is a beauty. I recommend this light to anyone looking for a C8 light.

Here ya go,
To switch mode group: switch to low mode and wait for 5 seconds. As soon as you notice a quick blink, half press the power switch and mode group is then toggled.

No, the XinTD is still brighter but for the money the Convoy is the way to go.
I like the finish and the mode switch better on the convoy over the Trustfire.
I’ve got the Convoy S2 and M1. I am mighty impressed by the overall quality of these budget lights.
At these prices it’s a no-brainer.

Nice, Rick! For some reason in the other thread where someone asked me if I was going to review the C8 I had the L2 stuck in my head. I forgot they even made a C8. Is the build quality of the C8 really as good or better than the XinTD? So many C8 hosts out there and almost all are identical except for the XinTD. Having a convoy for half the price but with all the Convoy quality would be awesome!
The convoy is a super nice light and very bright. I would put it over all the other C8’s out there but the XinTD is a hard one to beat but if someone didn’t want to spend alot of money the Convoy is the way to go!!!

The finish is a matte to satin finish which looks excellent and the build quality is top notch.
I’ve got the S3 and M1, just ordered another S3 for the wife and tacked on a C8 thank you. I swear that U2 they use is like a NW tint and the anodizing is dang tough, Only complaint I have is their tailcaps feel kinda thin and fragile.

does the orange peel reflector hinder the throw much compared to a smooth reflector?
I might end up getting one of these myself soon. I showed my convoy M2 to my wife’s grandfather and he wants it!
