Just ordered this small Sanrenmu (4059BUC-PH)

I was checking around after being off for a while and came across this little guy. Only around $8 so I went ahead and ordered it…

I really like smaller knifes these days, looking fwd for it to arrive.

Sanrenmu 4059BUC-PH

Also available in black, but I decided to get the non-black version, still a tough decision since I generally like the black coated knives…

FastTech have just listed 7 varieties of 4073 small slipjoints.
As well as the new version of the H03, like a Spyderco Grasshopper with a bottle opener, new one is the 6020RUC-SA

The 4073’s are very like the 2112’s 2” blade and thin and pointy, great pocket knife and available in many colours.

Where did you order them from?

Think he got it here,

Mine were from FastTech, they sell the 4059 as well.
I usually buy my knives from them, they have the lowest prices and a good stock of SanRenMu’s 220 types according to the search, that’s just the knives they sell pocket tools as well.

I have more respect for SanRenMu than most knifemakers who farm their products out to companies like SanRenMu anyway. They actually make their products. I just wish they would expand their lineup and use some better steels, and work on their fit-and-finish a little better. That 8Cr13MoV is a decent steel for an EDC knife, but it’s a little soft for how heavy duty use mine have seen lately, and I’ve always said too soft for certain tools like screwdrivers. The GB-763 would probably be my EDC for life with a high end steel. Even my Delica is barely keeping up with the abuse. I might have to EDC the Native. But I’ve always thought fondly of SanRenMu

Uncomfortable handle and no bolster.

True, I ordered from Fasttech because they have nice pictures and the site was easy to navigate - and they have a 5% discount code (BLF). Nevered ordered from them before so Im not endorsing them, just letting you know.

Small handle or not, I like the small knives now, so light in your pocket (plus it has a clip) and its handy for light duty.

I also have this small knife too, but the flipper edges are so sharp and pointed (the flipper part turns into a guard when open) which is very uncomfortable. Still I like the design, its very unique, and was only 8$ too.

There’s still a few of the smaller SanRenMu knives left in the FastTech sale.
Here.

Is that flipper assisted?

Yes. The blade is only small and the light weight does nothing to aid the flipper. The flipper isn’t the most comfortable to use but could be smoothed out I suppose.

Ordered this mini Sanrenmu 603PR a while ago. Fastech

Very nice but much to small. Looks good on the shelf

I also picked up one of these from Fasttech some time ago. I agree - it’s too small, and with a lock I can’t even carry it in the UK. It also came quite blunt iirc.
