When I seen this new listing on Ebay, I jumped on it immediately and was extremely excited at what I had found. It was listed as an Ultrafire 501b “Special Needs Edition”, and was advertised as 2000 lumens.
The flashlight also came with a brand new Ultrafire 9000mah 18650 battery and portable fast charger. The charger will completely charge a fully depleted 18650 battery in around 30 seconds, and the charger runs off of a single “AA” sized alkaline battery (which was included), so I am extremely happy with my new battery and charger.
But, I am having a small problem using the flashlight. I unscrewed one end, put my battery in it, screwed the end back on, and the flashlight turned on by itself, and is very brite, but I cannot get all of the light to go in the same direction? It’s kind of hard to describe my problem, but I am struggling to be able to properly illuminate dark places, because the other side is very brite and hurts my eyes when it shines on my face.
Would it be possible to make all 2000 lumens come out of one side of the flashlight? Then this flashlight would get a 5 star rating from me.
Please help! Here are some pictures of my new flashlight.
I think this is some kind of joke. It's clearly not possible for light to come out both ends at the same time as one of them will be running in reverse polarity, creating a photon vacuum. And upon powering up, the blast out one end will work in conjunction with the suction at the other, essentially creating a rocket engine. The OP made no mention of that, so I'm calling BS.
I bought the same light from eBay a few weeks ago. This is how I solved the problem, I unscrewed the lens bezel from the low output end, then took out the lens and stuffed several pieces of chewed bubble gum over the led and put it back together. My feet don’t allow me to jump as high as most folk but far as the included charger goes, I decided to put it back on eBay for sale because I don’t think it was very pretty for my taste. Good luck if you try this, works like a charm.
I got the same light, only mine has a clicky at both ends. Its awesome having so much control…one button is for on and off and one is for the differnt modes. Trouble is, nun of the modes is very bright…even ‘terbo’!! Looking for modding tips…
The issue is that this light: “It’s clearly not possible for light to come out both ends at the same time as one of them will be running in reverse polarity, creating a photon vacuum.” The solution is to only operate this light in a vacuum. I suggest a Hoover or Dirt Devil.
