One thing for sure, they sure do listen to us. Fasttech just listed 4 Shadow lights and the best ones at that with their usual killer pricing. Now I might have to change all my buying plans for the near future and rethink what I'm saving up for. Might have to get me an SL3 (the good one with XM-L2 emitters!) at these prices.
DAMN BLESS YOU, FASTTECH!!
Now my question...I already have a King and a Terminator so is the SL3 really that great a light and worth another $53 to add one to my stable? Can you guys that own one chime in with your opinions? THanks!
I had the JM26 months ago but sold it. Its build was nicely finished, however I don’t feel secure in a light wherein you have to put a magnet in the positive flat-top of a Kingkong 26650 or it won’t work, and a button-top 26650 won’t fit either! Mine has also a ringy beam. If these odd features won’t bother you then this light is quite nice.
The version that I got does not have a spring like in your link, only a small copper protrusion, about 4mm in diameter in the center, surrounded by white plastic around it. Crazy, crazy design. It’s good they improved the new version.
Yup, my JM26 was like that, only difference was the plastic around that center piece was white. Isn’t it worrisome to use a magnet on your flat-top 26650 to make it work? And neither will a button-top Kingkong fit!
I just went through FT’s website, Shadow section. In it the SL3 is the one with no spring and the JM 26 has. I got mine months ago from Hank, and the finish was a beautiful dark brown. I would suggest to contact Jasmine about the ‘no-spring’, magnet-required thing.
