K70 moddable?

I’d like to do a driver and emitter swap, anyone know if this light can be modded with common components?

In theory you could but the magnetic ring will end up useless and the tail cap is not only a switch but a bunch of electronics including a FET, I suppose it acts as a protection PCB for the 4 cells in series.

The stock driver is pretty good, is there any specific reason you’ll want to swap it?

Thanks will, kinda what inthlughr as well. Such a great light as it comes. Perhaps I wont touch it

Without changing the driver you would be able to swap a 12v XHP50.2 or XHP70.2 into the light. I am not sure what size the MCPCB is?

current would be too low for a XHP70.2

Why not sell it and buy a K60/k65 instead?
