i have a kaidomain 7135 driver that the trace is gone for the led negative. Is there any other place i can solder to or is this now a parts driver?
solder to opposite other side.
Sweet! I was hoping I could do that ![]()
Any of the left hand pins will do as they are all in parallel. 3 pins down, long single tab up is gnd(also middle pin), right pin is pwm input from mcu, left pin to led-.
Any of the three pins on the 7135s?
Any of the left hand pins. If you look at your board, the output pad was connected to the left hand pin on one of the chips. Since the chips are all connected in parallel, any other left hand pin will do. That’s looking at the chip with the 3 pins pointing down and the ground tab up, pin on the left is led-.
I did the same thing recently, ripped the - pad off a KD V2 swapping the driver from one pill to another. I had spares but had already added 4 7135s to the damaged driver. I was about to toss it but decided I had nothing to lose so I soldered the wire to the edge of the 7135, it works fine!
Glad I didn’t throw it out.
Thats good news. Thanks for tne clarification. Hopefully ill have internet at home tomorrow and wont have to use my phone ![]()
