So one of my KD drivers decided to let the 20 AWG wire I had soldered to the negative pad tear off the pad.
Is there an alternate solder point for my black wire?
Thanks!

best I can think of is the same (left, with GRND tab pointing up) pin on one of the other chips. You might be able to scrape off the covering of the trace leading to that pin, which should give you a larger pad to solder to. Be aware though that those traces aren’t as robust as the intended solder pads (however flakey those are) so be gentle and glue down the wire after you solder it.
Yes, any of the left pins will do and the other pin pads will help hold that chip in place but you should still anchor the wire as a strain relief.
20awg is pretty hefty for those pads. Depending on if it's a 3 amp or 1.5 amp, 24 to 28awg would be much easier to solder and less stressful on the pads.
After soldering I use a little Arctic Alumina adhesive on the junctions. Enough to glob it onto the nearest chip, to help support the wire and keep the pads from coming off.
exactly what the guys above said.
