Keeppower/Sanyo 18500

Does anyone know of a source for some keeppower 18500 protected cells? The ones with the sanyo cells in them.

If not, what about a source for the sanyo18500 unprotected cells. I think I’ll get them and add my own protection circuit from fasttech. Maybe one of these:

Does anyone know where to find the top button I can add once I’m done adding the protection circuit. Is there a guide somewhere on how to add protection circuits?

I only know of Efest. They have decent IMR’s. The keepoer cells must be purchased by the minimum of 100 cells.

I’ve found the same thing, places only sell in minimum of 100pcs. I definitely don’t need that many. The efest seems to be IMR which I don’t need and has lower capacity. I’m aiming for max capacity.

Seems my best bet is to just get some sanyo 18500 unprotected and add a protection circuit myself.

1) Does anyone have a guide for how to do this?

2) Are the protection circuits I linked to above any good?

Keeppower 18500 doesnt seem to use Sanyo cells.

Those were new..

Adding a protection circuit on your own is not advisable unless you have something to weld the tabs onto the cell.

Maybe you could use these:

O I didn’t see those efest ones. Do we know what type of cell is inside? or how good they are?

Also, could I just solder instead of spot welding the protection circuits?

You could ask Efest.. but I guess DLG. Those are fine, pretty much the same Keeppower seems to be using.

No, when trying to solder the cell will get too hot.
