Kinfire 'BRC 18650 1500mAh'

Just received 2x 2pk. Kinfire BRC 18650 1500mAh cells.

3 around .9v, contemplating charging them with the included charger... outside.

The last cell is giving me issues when trying to check it though. I'm getting zilch results with the autoranging DMM, and nothing with the analog... completely dead/non-functioning cell?

Just make a movie how they explode in fire

The dead cell, is it protected? Maybe just needs a charger to reset the protection circuit.

Do not charge anything under 1.5V the cell is permanently damaged.

Ah thanks, I haven’t had a tripped protection circuit before. They are protected, I’ll see if it’ll reset in the included charger.

Well I figure at worst I’m out a free generic charger and get a black burn mark on my driveway.

I do know the Xtar MC1 does 0v battery activation

Just be careful with the micro USB port…it’s very fragile!

0.00V is one thing (protection tripped) and 0.9V is another thing (dead cell)

Very true

Knowing that 5300mAh claimed *Fire cells are 300 mAh, 1500mAh would be… approximately 85 mAh I guess?

Just get $8.3/pair Sanyo 18650 2600mAh’s from DX.

I have no problems with DX (well, other than the really slow shipping) but since unknown00101 is in the USA, I would recommend he check the batteries at Mountain Electronics

Much, much faster shipping and pretty darn good prices.

I agree but alot of his cells are out of stock right now.I hope Richard gets a bunch more in before some idiot in DC trys to ban them.I bet there is going to be a run on LiIon cells.

I’ve got good cells, these were acquired in a combo w/ flashlight. Figured I would try and charge these up. If they turn out to be junk (likely), I’ve got 4 pannies set aside specifically for this light, or I’ll dip into my laptop pull stash. :stuck_out_tongue:
