Update:
Klarus would not admit any fault and finally said that even the newer batches have the same exact memory behavior… In this case, it is a permanent feature for all; but I still conclude this is a rather poor design (in my ‘seasoned expert’ opinion); no joke, am I right or wrong to expect any different of what we all know and love (memory mode function)? I mean who really wants their favorite mode erased just because they used the Turbo mode? Well the average person might not mind, but there are some of us that actually rely on memory mode and for it to be there when we need it (and never be deleted for any reason as to avoid losing it and having to reprogram it again).
Anyhow, I am selling this like-new item (only one available and its for 50% off the average price); it was only tested for a few hours until my my disappointment of the mentioned memory-mode dysfunction that Klarus brilliantly decided to implement with what would otherwise be the perfect headlamp (sigh).
Actually, I will offer it to anyone here for $49 shipped with original purchase receipt, klarus 3100mah battery, original box, charging cord, and maybe lanyard if you need it, but no head strap (ok wait, I can add a brand new nice AceBeam head-strap to include has silicon anti-slip streaks/very comfortable), I’m keeping that; its sorta nice but you can get a replacement or use any other. The unit sells around $89 right now and is hardly used at all (tested a couple of times only while initially troubleshooting with Klarus and FastTech). Its pretty bright and I like the micro charging function, but the memory mode problem killed it for me. Still under “Klarus Warranty”, purchased a single unit in April 2019; you can have it, Klarus actually makes me sick with their customer service (that’s a whole other story), tasteless advertisements (linked above), and 3rd time product failures (just recently three out of four were junked out in some way)… This unit otherwise works good and their 18650 battery bank tube is working OK but the threads are so so rough which is a little bit unprofessional, sub-quality finishing, and is slightly annoying (everyone loves smooth threads right?). I also have available, Klarus Mi1C for $25 shipped, lightly used and works, but I think their switches are a bit funky on these too which I don’t necessarily like either; then again if you don’t mind going to strobe every now and then just having to click again, to each his own… and get one grab one at a bargain, under warranty still. My perceived losses (requirements) are your guys’ gains.
