Kudos to Thorfire Customer Service

Back in February I ordered two Thorfire C8s flashlights because they were on sale for $8. For that price I’ll bike with an ugly blue tint.

I hadn’t used either one of them much until our cabin/camping trip last month. They were both left tail-standing in moonlight mode all night as beacons to the bathroom. One died after about 4 days. The battery was still above 4v, and I was able to determine that it wasn’t the switch. I wasn’t willing to bust into the head if it was still under warranty.

So, I emailed Miranda Duan who had been the person handling the sale. I told her what happened, and what I had done. I even offered to replace the mcpcb or driver. That was on 23 Aug.

Yesterday my replacement C8s arrived. I didn’t have to send in any photos or videos, and I still have the dead C8s. That’s awesome customer service, IMO.

Now I’m gonna take apart the dead C8s and see if I can fix it.

I own a few Thofires (S70, 2x Q8, VG10s, TK15s). This is the first problem I’ve had, and I’m not shy about complaining when products or support are shoddy. But I have no problem with spending more money on Thorfire gear.

It is good to hear that you received excellent customer service! Which certainly isn’t always the case with other companies. I own two Q8 and a TG06S, all of which have been flawless. Good job Thorfire!

Wow! That is what I hope for in customer service. I have several Thorfires that have not given me a moment of grief but it’s good to know the company would stand behind them if a problem arose. I’ll keep this thread in mind when pondering over future acquisitions.

Thorfire is awesome. I have probably 8 or so lights from them. Only one problem. A TK05 showed up DOA. Miranda had a new one to me in 3 days. Always happy with Thorfire’s customer service. Wish I could say the same thing about another company, not mentioning any names, LUMINTOP. Again, not mentioning names. :smiley:

Yep, I had a TK05 that went wonky, and got 99%-off Amazon codes to replace it. I did send a vid showing the problem, but that’s it, no complaints at all.

Thorfire, Sofirn, Convoy. No hesitation buying or recommending, whatsoever.

It's always nice to hear that some manufacturers still stand behind their products.

All my thorfires are in excellent shape and the price/deal was also outstanding. Now, I also know their customer service is like their lights!

Stories like that keep me coming back for more. :+1:
