so after a long patient wait, the L21A arrived…. sadly a major buzz killer with it as soon as i put it on HI the led turns angry blue FAST, Hoping it was a simple issue i removed the emitter , cleaned both surfaces ensured they were flat re pasted and screwed the emitter

Nope still turns angry the second you go on HI has anyone else had similar issue?? I suspect the DTP or emitter flow at this point?

From my modest experience I can say it may happen when the led is soldered to the mcpcb incorrectly or when the led is overdriven (which I doubt in this case). If you solder, you can desolder mcpcb wires and check with another led that you know works fine (but match the correct voltage: (3,6,12V)

Hmm, it could be that the emitter has not been flowed correctly to the PCB, which results in a bad thermal connectivity.

You can always try reflowing the emmiter. I do it just by placing the PCB under a candle’s flame

Mine was just CW, but the FT03 still outthrows it, even after increasing the driver to 7A.
Now i replaced everything with a white flat, over 500 kCd
