Looking to see if anyone can help me pick the best led out for throw in the convoy L21B host and driver thanks
It depends on what your version of best is, but I would recommend a SFT40 with the 8A Buck driver

Depends on which metrics you use to arrive at that conclusion.
Throw? NM1
Brightness? SBT90.2
Brightness (without melting the L21B in 30 seconds?) SFT40
Most practical beam width for more general use? XHP70.3

Yes looking for throw not so much as any spill and not looking to melt the little host lol
I see on mnteletronics it says for the NM1 says max 4 a driver what would u guys use and where to buy from thanks
The NM1 may throw farther than the SFT40 but you get 1/2 the lumens so to my eyes the SFT40 throws further due to more usable lumens.
If you still want a NM1 you can use a 17mm Convoy 5A driver with the 22mm adapter ring.

Yep, SFT40 is a much better choice than NM1. In the L21B the NM1 is very hard to center, and every bump or drop has potential to damage the LED. The SFT40 is more robust.

I put the PM1 in my L2 so I could use it with an 8A driver. But the SFT40 has a larger hotspot at the same distance.
