Hey guys got a lathe still learning on it and this is the first part I made and still work in progress lol but this fixed my gap that convoy made and looks dumb to me

Your light had that much of a gap? The L21B I’ve seen had a gap which was about the same width as the gaps between the fins on the neck. Maybe it depends on the LED / gasket combination.

Yes it was that big the ring is like 3-4mm thick, few members mentioned a o-ring but that was not going to fix my problem
Cool! So how did you make it? Was it difficult? What did you learn? What’s next?
I’ve thought of getting a cheap mini lathe but it seems those can be projects in and of themselves.

Omg a 3mm gap? The quality has certainly been going down hill…
James I ordered a aluminum tube close to the size I needed and machined down, I kept the stock spacer and reflector to keep things easy, I might and try new spacer once my tiny mini mill comes I read 1.7mm thick is the sweet spot ?
As for what I learned so far is how to center my work piece with the tooling and speed is key for better finish ?min my option and what tool is used for what And using digital calipers
