can one of you guys direct me to the properly fitting lanyard screw for my new BLF Q8? I saw different models on Banggood, but heard that not all of them fit properly, either being too long, too short etc. Im looking for something as small as possible, that would allow to use standard paracord rope as lanyard. It should fit flush with the flat surface on Q8 where the adaptor hole is. I also have tools like grinders and files, so small adjustments should be easy.
The link on Amazon is no longer available for the one I ordered but its similar to pennzy’s. No casting marks like the one in Dioda’s link. Whichever one you order, you’ll have to shorten the screw up a bit to get it to sit flush. The tripod hole on the Q8 is shallow enough that it’ll only catch about 3 threads before bottoming out. I like the tripod stud lanyard though. Looks kinda cool and offers some security if I get clumsy.
One advantage to the larger tripod stud is that the larger hole allows a folded over double-strand of paracord to slide through creating a loop and eliminating the need for a split ring or metal snap to attach the lanyard. Might or might not matter to the user—just saying.
Came today, first impression was that it was big. It does seem to be in proportion. Had to cut about 1/8 inch of threads off to make it fit, otherwise ok.
