Led against Lemax LX70

To all manufacturers of LED flashlights I ask: but is it really so impossible to produce a LED flashlight that can compete in performance with Lemax products? Would it be the case that you woke up from hibernation or do you intend to continue sleeping for a longer time? I think Lumintop has come close with Gt94X but the other Imalents, in the lead, what are they waiting for?

It’s possible the market is so small, it’s not worth it. How many GT94’s do you think they sold?

The Astrolux MF05 or Mateminco MT90vn+ Spec C might give the Lemax LX70 Superpower a competitive run. I just discovered it’s able to cast a spot on the cloud layer here in Los Angeles. The cloud layer (when there is any clouds at all) is extremely high compared to other parts of the country and the world.

For example, if you watch The Proper People camping overnight at the abandoned Vermont Cold War Radar Base, they are able to easily light up the cloud layer with the stock Thrunite TN40S (discontinued). Here in Southern California, I’ve tried up to and including an Oslon Black modded TN42vn, 1.3Mcd. Also BLF GT. No luck. The cloud layer in So. Cal. is just too high.

However, two nights ago, I charged up the Murata VTC5D eight of them, and inserted into a perfectly modded Mateminco MT90vn+ Spec C. To my absolute surprise, and joy; the beam reached way up there and cast a spot on the cloud layer. It’s got to be almost a mile!
