? for those who are smarter than me,
Are led base sizes standard or is it a crap-shoot. Reason for asking is i’m thinking of doing some lite mods and in researching it’s difficult to find sizes to fit various lites.
Whatever u know is appreciated.
The more common sizes are 14, 16, and 20 mm
Pretty easy to find, are you looking for smaller, or larger than those ?
just trying to find out what was out there and if there were standards
so you don’t try 2 match the led base to the lite tube? just work with it?

Generally the LED heatsink needs to match the recessed cavity in the light pill, not the body tube. I can’t think of any light that directly contacts the body tube to the LED heatsink. There are close exceptions however like the X9 and STL-V2, that use screws to attach the heatsink slug directly onto the cylindrical wall of the “throat” area.
