I have a dual sport with a Baja Designs Squadron headlight currently on (4 X XML-T6 driven well) which works really well for high speed riding, but it is too tight of a beam for the tight trails. I have a SF-90 (single XML) headlamp that will work off the bike battery, so I was thinking I could get one of the 6 X XML-T6 headlights off DX or similar and mount on the handlebars for a better flood to accompany the Squadron. Is there a good model that I should get?
Not riding my dual sport at night anymore…except on paved roads.
I have two Illumination Supply LED light bars that I have played around w on boat, MC and truck as well as campsite illumination. Pretty pleased w them.
Also, LED Supply sells a neat little kit that I have two of, you can choose emitter, optics, driver etc. Ideal for your application, would also be harder to get knocked off forks or handlebars mounts if you do some woods bashing…
There are also couple places like Norther Hydraulics (and a towing supply catalog - name?) that have multiple choices in 12v flood units that should do the trick, at some point, prices will reset to a more realistic and reasonable level.
