Ok the lights will be in saturday,I will hook one up with a resistor to the power supply. What do we need to know,voltage or mH?
If you bought the LED panel lights shown in post #4 you don’t need to do anything more than remove the existing panel and solder the new panel with the 12V power supply. Be sure to wire + (usually red wire) to + and - to -. The panels are 12V DC so you don’t need to add any resistors as those are built into the panel already. If you connect them backwards it will not damage the panel but it will not light up. These are kits intended to be used to replace the incandescent light in car map and courtesy lights. That’s why the come with all the strange connectors. They run around 5 watts and put out about 500 lumens. If you intend to run 6 of them off a single transformer, it should be 30W or larger. The larger of the two power supplies in #4 looks like a 60W or larger supply so it will suffice.
I would have suggested using the newer chip-on-board version of this light. I just bought 10 of these from an overseas seller on ebay for less than $6 and they were here in 16 days. I use them in converting Christmas decorations blow molds from the old C7 incandescent lights to LED. A 60W converter shown in post #4 above will power 12 blow molds. This is the result when I used it to replace the missing incandescent light on a Christmas penguin. It’s pretty bright.

That looks great,I have already ordered the lights. The power supply is a 300W. How can you tell if the lights have the resistor build in buy looking at them?

I also have this 6A 72W supply. Maybe it would be the best to use.
I’d use the 72W power source. 300W is overkill. You could power 60 of these with it.
I know the panel has resistors because I used them in the past for some DIY experiments. Here’s a picture of one with the foam backing taken off so I could add a way to attach it using Velcro. You can see a row of tiny resistors at the botom edge of the circuit board.
Proof that it will work directly off 12V DC? The second picture shows a surplus Netgear 12V 12W converter powering one of the lamps shown in the first picture. It was a direct plug in to the Netgear converter output. It doesn’t look very bright in the picture but it is way brighter than the picture shows.
