We are looking at updating our outside HPS and Metal Halide light fixtures at my work.
I was initially looking at replacing the entire fixtures but would rather spend money other places. I see that there are retrofit kits available where you take out the old ballast but leave the bulb socket. then swap in a driver in place of the ballast wiring. The new “bulb” then screw back in
Anybody have any experience with these ?
I am looking at wall packs as well as parking lot lighting.
anywhere from original 70w to 250w fixtures
I see flat ones with all the LEDS mounted on a plate that you can aim. Then I also see round “CORN” style bulbs that would more mimic the output of the original bulbs and make use of the exisiting reflectors
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Mike
