This is a long overdue follow-up after my post about marrying the flashlights and binoculars: https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/1eqtsk0/thrower_hooked_to_binoculars_tested/

This time I have used the LEP and — in order to take pictures easily — the „Telescope Phone Adapter”.

It works exactly the way I expected and I’m very satisfied.

There is a visible glare which depends on the “purity” of the air and it gets boosted by the close proximity of the binocular lenses and the LEP but it does not disqualify its usefulness.

It might even be a pretty convincing reason to get (and use) a LEP…

Could never get decent images using bino’s and phone adapter like that, do you set the phone to fixed focus and use the bino’s?

First, I’m focusing the binoculars “the usual way” and only the “chosen plane” gets in focus, due to limited depth of field in binoculars. Then my mobile is able to grasp the focus automatically — no user interventions were needed.
