Well I came into some money recently… !

not of my own means, but by clearing out a crap load of lights! Some sold here, and some sold on CPF… all in all I raised around $600 in light sales.

I wasted no time spending some (most) of it!

You can blame windup (my dad) for getting me back into p60 mania… he bought an ultrafire wf502 … after I saw it I picked one up myself for the price…. (side point - a great light for under $10, and easy to change to a nice international outdoor drop in for $16)

I had previously sold all my p60 stuff… triples, quads, etc - to finance…. you guessed it… MOAR lights!

But now…. I have returned - I think Foy would be proud (because of all the solarforces)

Solarforce L2i with SF B6 bezel & UCL (closest I could come to Foybezel!) and Malkoff M361 LMH 1.45a 4000k XPG2 (running on keepower 18500 with sleeve)

Solarforce L2x with SF B6 bezel & UCL and nailbender XPG2 R4 5B4 1.7a LMH

Solarforce P1d with UCL & SF XPG drop in (had the dropin hanging out in my spare parts drawer forever… supposed to do a matchs mini mag mod but failed.)

Solarforce L2T with UCL, Mcclicky and Vinh MTG2 neutral Qlite dropin (3.8 amps 2500+ lumen! on 2x aw 18350 imr) - has moon - l/m/h modes (all regulated)

Solarforce L2r (2aa eneloop) with UCL and SF single mode XRE R2 drop in

Malkoff MD2 custom painted camo host with M61L XPG2 drop in (cool white)

Surefire 9p (incandescent) - stock for now - currently on the oveready “bore/upgrdae list” to get this host pimped out

Malkoff neutral triple XPG2 wildcat (not pictured) - its in my car right now

I think the most shocking thing in all this is…. I BOUGHT A SUREFIRE!!!..………. I paid $70 for it brand new in packaging… I just had to see what all the fuss is about… not budget I know… sorry… but its a cool light and if I ever get bored with it… theres a WHOLE ENTIRE forum of cpf members who would buy it from me.

I still have 2 more solarforces in transit and some more drop ins from intl outdoor - the l2m and l2p were on sale for like $10 a piece recently so I picked BOTH up… they must think I am mad at SF flashlight sales - I made 5 orders in 3 weeks! LOL.

I still have some $ to spend in the wall buys xmas sale… if their website doesnt shut down and crap the bed as usual :slight_smile:

I’d like to hear your impressions of the Wildcat. Sounds like a great (& battery flexible) little photon blaster!

Nothing wrong with getting a Surefire especially if you can get one for a decent price! I picked up an secondhand A2 over the summer and it’s one of my favorite lights…great UI, decent throw and perfect 3300k tint from the regulated incand lamp.

Edit: could we get a pic/description comparing the head–body threads of the MD2 and Solarforce L2/P/T bodies? I’m wondering if a Wildcat could work on a Solarforce body in lieu of an MD2/3/4.

the wildcat is very nice - and very expensive - the head alone goes for $100 used… and then the md4 (2x 18650) is another 60-70

the head does not fit on the threads of any of my solarforce hosts - the malkoff md tailcap fits on all of them though lol go figure.
