it’s been a while, I’m kinda out of the loop. Looking for a decent headlamp for close range work, i.e. shop conditions.
Color should be on warmer side, high CRI a plus, throw irrelevant.
Output doesn’t need to be super high as you can imagine but should be finely customizable, without bullshit modes like strobe and SOS.
Looking at convoy H2 (with a 519?) since I’m familiar with that brand. Stopped obsessing about flashlight back when XHP70 came out - hence this post, idk what else is on the market. Price should be similar to H1 / H2
Also gonna need a charger since it’s for someone else - Lii-100 is still the go-to for single cell 18650?

Does red, spot, flood, and spot+flood, selectable from a ring around the emitter.
Built-in charging, come-with battery. Spot isn’t high-CRI, but flood definitely is. Nice wide blanket of light, no eerie shadows, no sharp cutoff, no tunnel-vision.

High self-discharge without manipulation of the sensor and quite uncomfortable to wear. The rotating ring will probably soon cause problems with dirt. Once again a creative Sofirn lamp with numerous weaknesses.
