I need your help. A friend of mine is looking for a flashlight set. She is looking for the following:
- L2 sized or smaller
- one mode, as high as possible
- needs a charger
needs one or two batteries
Basically, that´s it. I was thinking of an L2M but I cannot find batteries and a good (yet low cost) charger fitting it. She is NOT a flashaholic and she won´t become one. So no super duper charger plz.
30€ for Light + charger + battery/ies would be awesome.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
edit: how much would an attacker effectively blinded by 800 Lumens directly into the eyes?
If she is not a flashoholic and will not become one she does need a good charger and something as easy as possible. An extra cell? Smart? It must be kept somewhere
….
How about Convoy BD06 and a Liitokala 26650 cell?
It has internal charging that is good and the system to connect it is very clever.
Has more then one mode but memory so without half presses feels like a one mode light.
She won´t let it run for long times. She wants a high output light for safety purpose only since shes working late in a bar and feels safer with a good light in case some drunk guys harass her on her way home.
Thanks for you suggestions so far : )
A shop with fast shipping might be prefered, too.
No interest in flashlights or li ion
I’d say CLICK
Thorfire AA 300 lumen light
Safe to use fast delivered and no li ion needed. (Giving dangerous stuff li ion knowing she does not want to learn about it puts her probably in more danger then the perceived safety of a bright light helps her.
300 lumen is still pretty bright and a blow with the ALU tube in the hand still hurts like h#ll
Yes I tell my wife the same.
Explained lockout and mode changing
Yet a Sunwayman got melted stuck on stuff in her bag with the side optics twice.
She always gave me her zoomie without LVP when the cell was at 3V and really dim.
Now she has the S2+ but used it only on high and thought it was way too hot (I removed 2 of the 6 7138 chips and put it in MED all is well and it starts blinking at 3,5V so also OK)
If you really want her to use a powerful light loan her one with a good protected cell and change it after a week so she knows what she likes.
If you don’t trust her with your lights, go for a AA light that does not need li ion
