Light for night photography

Hi.I would like a flashlight to take photos of boats, buildings, trees etc at night.I would like the brightest(of course),adjustable size beam,2 power levels ok,6” or 7” max length,AA batteries if that doesn’t hold back from brightness.Long run time not critical.$100 maximum. Thanks for the help.

I think you should check out Led Lensers. The models with 14 in it use AA batteries.

Well, i do this with a couple of solarforce l2p with nichia dropins,
These have high cri, makes the colors more realistic.
That is for me important, because having to compensate for 2 colors of light is somewhere difficult.
Altough not running aa, but 18650 .

Thanks for the suggestions.Appreciate the help.

Is this a joke?

Why? Are you suggesting that they would not fit the description for some reason? Maybe you know something that fits the description even better?

I don’t know much about buying high CRI lights, because I don’t have any applications where it matters. But, I wanted to add a +1 to the fact that YOU need high CRI for photography. The higher the CRI, the better. But, really, why a flashlight? Why don’t you use a floodlight or at least something on a stand or a tri-pod?

The high CRI would help sure.I like the flashlight for its compactness and portability and “painting” the subject or parts of the scene have been fun with the lesser flashlights I have.Camera of course is on a tripod.

Thanks for the suggestion. An M14 seems like a good way to start.$81 at Amazon.Starting small. Will have opportunity to be “flashlight poor”with subsequent purchases.
