Light having trouble turning on... anodizing a problem?

So I got a new light today and it has some trouble turning on and when it actually does come on, it doesn’t stay in the mode. When I took a closer look at the tail of the body tube, I noticed that the anodizing goes all the way to the end. The threads aren’t anodized, but this is the first 18650 light I own that has anodizing all the way to the end. Would this be a problem or could it be a switch thing?

Unscrew, clean and re-assemble the switch and make sure it’s tight. See if that fixes it…

Solved: After tightening everything, wiping it down and trying all my batteries…… it finally turned on when I used my protected batteries. I guess all my unprotected ones are too short. The purple ones in the picture are unprotected Samsungs but my protected ones reach the top of the barrel. That fixed it.

Thanks!
