I have played around with this driver quite a bit, mostly discussed in this thread.
.
What bugged me was it had them da*n flashy modes, even though it was advertised as a 3 mode driver. So I tried to figure out how to by pass the pwm signal. This driver uses a 5241a step down led driver. I could not locate a datasheet for a 5241a, that’s all that is marked on the ic. I had done a similar mod with a DX sku#20330 driver, that used a QX5241 ic (datasheet), I began to compare the two and they looked real similar. So I began poking around at the driver until I found the pwm signal in to the 5241a. Took off one resistor and found 5v coming from the atmel 258 and tied that 5v to the lower pad where the resistor was soldered on the pwm input side of the 5241a. Only 1 high mode and no more flashy.

This driver seems to be a KD P7 super output copy, it may have the same components but I can not be sure of that.

Borrowed lightmalls pic, hope they don’t mind.
